Dark Waves: ProudRace Fall/Winter 2012-2013 Collection

Proudrace unveils its Fall/Winter 2012 2013 Collection called "Dark Waves".

Here's what it's all about, straight from the source:

This season we were inspired by surfers, thugs and sharks; a random mix if you think about it but for us it was the randomness that made it exciting. 

This season, the label borrowed elements from these inspirations; street styles from hip hop and thugs, the restrained silhouettes of wetsuits and rushguards that surfers use. We were also drawn to how mysterious and charismatic sharks are.

The materials used this season were acrylic and cotton blend used for most of the outerwear. Nubuck calfskin for leather items and leather details. We've also tried using sheep shearling for outerwear. Cotton stretch and cotton twill will always be staples in our collection. It was the perfect mix to produce our Fall/Winter Collection. 

The label kept it simple and youthful with a selection of separates for fall and winter as well as ideal transitional pieces. It’s not all dark this season with the inclusion of blush in our usual all-black palette. We did not stray away from our distinct style, staying true to the tough, street and minimal aesthetics we've always loved and came up with a collection that translated into modern classics.
